Starlux Expands Airbus A350-1000 Order

PARIS, 18 JUN | Taiwan's Starlux Airlines today has placed an order for 10 more Airbus A350-1000 aircraft at the Paris Air Show. This order adds on to the airline's current order of 8 Airbus A350-1000 jets currently on order.

The relatively new airline is a loyal customer of Airbus, with an all-Airbus fleet of 28 planes consisting of A321neos, A330-900neos, A350-900s and A350-1000s (soon) with an average fleet age of 2.8 years. This increased purchase will help in their long-haul expansion as the airline plans to add more flights to Europe and US East Coast.

Just yesterday at Skytrax's World Airline Awards, Starlux was awarded the title of "World's Most Improved Airline". It had also received a 5-star airline rating for the first time, and jumped to 18th place in the World's Best Airline rankings from 34th place the previous year.
